Imua Conservation Organization (ICO) strives to honor the magical integrity of Hawaii’s diverse ecosystems and of the Earth we all rely upon.  We also work to easefully restore habitats to their inherent splendor and abundance through collaboration, education, contemplation, stewardship, and ecological design.

What does Imua stand for?

In the Hawaiian language Imua means moving forward towards a goal or cause.  The term is also said to convey a deep feeling of resoluteness or togetherness in what we take on.  In these attitudes, Imua Conservation becomes a way of life: it celebrates the ancient, one-of-a-kind ecosystems of these vibrant Pacific Isles and the shared planet we call home.  Equally, we seek to joyfully align local human livelihoods and landscapes with the sophistication of the natural world for the enhancement of our communities, the environment, and future generations.
