Land Restoration

At Imua Conservation, we see all places as precious and deserving of life, not only iconic landmarks or keynote migrational paths.  Furthermore, we believe every spot—from an agricultural complex to an old ranch, courtyard, vacant lot, or depleted expanse—has the potential to sprout anew with beautifully abundant life.  For this reason we work to restore, rejuvenate, reclaim, and reconfigure acreages of all shapes and sizes through consultation, analytics, and stewardship.

We remain grateful and willing to bring lands of many terrains and usages into meaningful regenerative conservation; and we also participate in residential projects, commercial/agricultural planning, and environmental land-use design.

Alongside restoration itself, Imua Conservation is committed to learning through practice.  Our restoration landscapes serve as living systems where regenerative agriculture, ecological restoration, and climate-relevant land stewardship can be observed, refined, and shared.  Through monitoring, research collaboration, and field-based experimentation, these projects contribute practical insights into how restored landscapes can strengthen biodiversity, soil vitality, food systems, and climate resilience.

We sense that the vibrancy of our communities depends upon the land’s vitality, and so the health of all places remains our shared priority as we move forward together—Imua!

Current Field Initiative

Our current pilot initiative explores regenerative agroforestry as a pathway for restoring degraded agricultural land while generating ecological and climate learning for tropical island landscapes.  By integrating perennial food systems, soil regeneration practices, and biodiversity-supporting plant communities, the project examines how productive landscapes can also function as resilient ecological systems that support long-term carbon sequestration and contribute to climate mitigation and resilience.

The pilot also explores the role of regenerative agroforestry as living climate infrastructure: systems capable of rebuilding soil carbon, supporting biodiversity, strengthening local food resilience, and contributing to long-term climate drawdown through landscape regeneration.

As a living landscape for observation and learning, the initiative supports monitoring, data collection, and field-based experimentation to better understand how regenerative land stewardship can contribute to ecosystem recovery, climate resilience, and scalable restoration strategies for island environments.
